Re: New integrated coming...

I have the pleasure of beta testing a new Blue Circle integrated this weekend. As you can see, it has a tube. It also has a switch to bypass the tube circuit. I don't know what the new model name will be, but if this one goes to production it will likely be in the same price range as the DAR. There...

Hi Bob please keep the listening notes coming. Very informative, thank you.

What is the depth of the amp and I don't see a retail price as yet.

It works!!

I had a electric hum/buzz from my BC32 from the amp itself (not through the speakers). Not super loud, but it was there. After talking to Gilbert at Taves, I purchased the blocker and works perfectly. No more hum/buzz. I tried first by plugging the RPD15 into the BC6000, than the amp and the noise w...

Update

Thank you all for your suggestions. I was approached by a fellow BC owner and I'm now a happy owner a BC phono stage. It's a 17x14x3 unit with stainless steel face and Li'l 703 board. Really Big Pipe power, plus some additional internal caps. After plugging it in for 24 hours, did some initial liste...

TAVES

Looking forward to seeing you and Susan again.

Looks like some really interesting new gear to listen to. Gilbert did some major upgrades to my BC32 a few month back, which totally transformed it. Curious as to how the new BC36 sounds.

Isn't the new CS2 halfway there already? Since it has the preamp from the FtTH2, perhaps the BC1022 in the power side of things? One option of keeping the costs down.

Has anyone been able to compare the CS2 to the DAR?

Hi Mark, great hearing from you. That certainly gives me something to think about. Both you and 'DD' have referred to th BC705, but I'm not familiar with it nor do I see it on the product list. Part of my dilemma is balance. Keeping my TT as described, will a L'll 703 or even the BC707 be appreciate...

BC Phono Stage

My TT is a Rega P5 with Groovetracer subplatter & delrin platter, Audiomod arm, Denon DL-S1 cart. My current phone stage is the EAR 834P. I have had a chance to play it back to back with Rene's Fon Lo Thingee with big pipe. Also heard the same stage at Larry's last week. I found these stages to be c...

Harbeth & DAR

Larry was kind enough to invite me over for a listen to his HL30.1 being driven by his DAR. As I have the identical DAR, this was a real treat. I would agree with what is stated above. Sound was open, detailed, very natural without it ever being in your face. Very relaxing and inviting at the same t...

I'll just quickly state that I have a DAR and just put in a Shugung Black Treasure tube and eveything "went up a notch". The overall sound is much thicker and richer whith NO loss of detail. Best tube I've ever heard. Hey Jeddy, I purchased a Shuguang Treasure CV-181-Z (black $225) and couldn't sho...
