and the most obvious answer - if the box is 8x8, then bc509. If the box is 8x16 (double the depth), then bc507. Then it is a matter of which power supply for the BC507 - caps (NB), or batteries (BA).

I like Raven's suggestion! especially If you are looking to simplify your set up... some are, and some are not (not me!! I like dual mono power supplies from source out if possible) But if you are thinking you might upgrade the preamp section of the ELD-BD at some point (which G$ can do maybe in the...

To be clear - the first difference I described was of the BC2, versus the Bc2 8004. Then I go on to compare the JC1 mono's to the bc2 8004 mono's...

Ivan, I had my BC2 rebuilt via Gilbert. Switched to a 6922 variant driver (maybe a mistake? But I have a large NOS bank of 6922 variants - where as my favorite 6sn7 the Sylvania 6sn7w Tall boy is hard to find, and they crap out with no warning after years of use, just arc over... uggg - thus the swi...

Ivan, I would ask what speakers you have, or plan to have to pair the amp too... That would help me guide you in one direction (the rebuild of your amps into BC2 8004) or to a new blue circle bc2k4 amp. I find the BC2 (with the bc3) to be soundstage champs - they bridge the "you are there" versus "t...

I purchased 2 of these babies...for the amps, for each of 2 systems I have. One a HUGE BC 380s amp https://www.flickr.com/photos/17843311@N00/sets/72157624435016140/ The other... basically mono BC204's (but with the 8000ag power supplies, in a BC2 chassis). https://www.flickr.com/photos/17843311@N00...

I also like the DH Cones, or Aluminum Coned footers... With Blue Circle gears, and their huge power supplies on board, I often find what ever footers work well under power supplies, work well under BC Gear. I use Isolation to get the stage right... and power cords to adjust the voicing of the gear (...

I think the Blue Circle amps I have, and have listened to throughout the years, have all the midrange the Mac's have... But throw a larger stage, with better separation within that stage, more hall info, stage bass properly, better layering... and does not gloss over details like the Macs do - even ...

So - my question, and I am probably waaaay off on this, but could there be a XOe 6x filter? or XOe 12x filter? Or would you rather have this as part of a fx2 4 outlet or 6 outlet thingee or BC6000? Did I just open a can of worms here?

It is a VERY good sounding set up! I learned a lot about floating floors, and how you need to isolate from that upon hearing this setup (My main setup, is on a Concrete slab in a dedicated listening room). The maxed out 501dac made a huge difference! Like that setup a lot. Very similar to the analog...

Thanks for the feedback Nikki! Confirms my hunch, as I had a 6x filter in here - and also felt so-so in my initial impression/feedback... I never thought about the caps charge/discharge cycle break in needed for this parallel filter... Masluck has that 6x now :) I find I am very sensitive to things ...
