Hi Techguy, The reason is the X1e module in the BC30X1. It rates as a better filter as it captures a broader frequency of noise than the BC6020. The BC6020Si has far more standard filtering than the BC30X1. Having said that, if you add a X1e module to the BC6020Si you get a staggeringly good non cur...

Thanks for sharing the link. Rather a shame that the the conversation deteriorated so quickly in that thread but the inter webs are the inter webs. ;-) Yes, a very small number of units have been buzzing. We do know it's an outside influence and not a quality issue. I have a customer who has taken t...

I was fascinated by the comments from the folks attending TAVES this year. Saturday morning a husband and wife in their mid 40's sat down in our room and they both were over the moon pleased with the sound. Top comment "Finally a system that doesn't shout at you" In walks another couple, one minute ...

It's an entry level PLC Thingee based on the same design as the regular Thingee line of products. I don't know how much filtering it has compared to the basic PLC Thingee but it will do a modest job at stopping the primary noise in the power line. At trade shows, there are folks that may not know Bl...

BC107 Preamplifier

I picked up my new BC107 yesterday from the factory. The factory or 'barn' is quite a large building and is virtually open concept inside. Normally you hear music playing as you walk up to the door as Gilbert plays whatever item he had just finished building to make certain it works well. I knew tha...

With the new BC107 being built right now we will get to hear the preamp that Gilbert has designed to mate with the BC1022. He's building 2 of them. One will be at RMAF and one at TAVES. Starts with 700,000uF and a jack to upgrade the power supply using the GBC line of power supplies. I agree with DD...

This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back. You take the right plc - the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the left Plc- you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes. But I promise you this, either way i...

ERM and I were able to compare the Music Fidelity - 192 V Link to the M2Tech HiFace a few weeks ago. Both were really good products however they were quite different. I found the V Link had superior detail and more clarity on the higher end but the HiFace was excellent with the lower frequencies and...

Hi Ice Man, I've been running Amarra HiFi for a year now and recently took advantage of the Symphony IRC upgrade offered to existing HiFi owners. I had planned to install it before the Toronto TAVES show to maximize the room acoustics but unfortunately the calibrated microphone I ordered did not arr...
