Recently TLP Audio was contacted by a customer who wanted to discuss a noise problem that he was having with his system.
He explained that when he first noticed the problem, he would hear an intermittent buzzing
coming from his amp. There seemed to be a pattern to it....maybe once a minute or so, lasting for 5 to 10 seconds.
In trying to figure out his own problem, he thought the noise might be DC on the line and thus he began purchasing a series of products he thought might resolve the problem. Of course none of them included a guarantee to actually solve his problem so he was now stuck with a lot of gear that did NOTHING to rid his system of the noise. He even called several well-known vendors to discuss the problem.
After spending several thousands of dollars he finally contacted us and I began discussing his problems with Gilbert. Gilbert knew almost immediately what the cause of the problem was and how it could be solved. We're now in the process of getting the customer the best configuration of the product that will resolve his problem.
Although we're certainly grateful to Gilbert to have resolved this customer's problem, it makes me question the capabilities of some of these well-known companies.
If anyone on this forum feels they have a problem similar to what we're describing here, please feel free to contact us to discuss your situation. We'll be glad to work with you.
