Taves Toronto 2013

Post by Raven » Thu Oct 31, 2013 11:41 pm

Well, it's 12:45 am and 7 hours later everything is set up and playing. Nothing better than blasting tunes into the lobby of the historic King Edward hotel (the Mystic Audio room is overlooking the lobby from the second floor) and they like it!

Looking forward to seeing all the Blue Circle family and being abused by Double D's 'sense of humour' ;-)

Don't want to go to bed, this rig is awesome.

Good to see you and the missus tonight though, and the room was sounding VERY good for a first day.. as is usual with "show sound" it usually hits its stride just in time for teardown on the last day.. d'ohhhh !

Those stands are custom Mystic Audio stands, .. I'll let Raven give you all the details, but suffice to say, they are VERY cool.. and VERY solid.
Mystic had good sound going both days I was in their room, and there was lots of positive reaction to the room at this years show. 8)

What feet are used under the amps and what plate is used under laptop?

Hi Mark,

I built it myself for the show. Solid maple platter and legs. The design allows for easy replacement of the legs if you need to adjust for different hight gear.

High quality spikes were used for every layer.

The lighting in the room really made it look awesome. Honestly, I didn't have time to stain the wood. It's NAKED!

It weighs a ton and really exceeded my expectations.

I'll build to order, just PM me or email me at info@mysticaudio.ca

Hi BCR,

The feet are Target speaker spikes with floor protector feet inverted to hold up the MAC. No plate at all.

My lazy or creative isolation design

The feet under the other gear is from another vendor that I was sharing the room with. PM me if you want more info.
