Finally got the first prototype done in time for the Montreal show.

80 watt into 8 ohms and 110 watt into 4 ohms. This is the little brother of the BC1022. Uses the exact same input and output stage but only smaller transformer and less power supply. The BC1022 has over 440,000uF of power supply, the BC1002 being the little guy has 142,000uF.

There are room inside for bigger power supply. However, if 80 watt is plenty for you and just want to get to the level of the BC1022, we can upgrade the power supply. The heavy duty soft start inside the BC1002 is capable to handle power supply with more than 3,00,000uF of capacitance. There is long way to go before it hits the limit.

Retail is CAD2,995.00.

BTW The BC1022 is now 120 watt into 8 ohms and 160 watt into 4 ohms.

Correction on BC1002 capacitance

Post by Gilbert Y » Mon Mar 24, 2014 9:21 pm

The BC1002 power supply capacitance should be 226,000uF not the one I have previously quoted. Sol Lay for the mistake.
