Post by Raven » Tue Oct 07, 2014 10:11 am

Just a few weeks until TAVES 2014.

This year Mystic Audio will be have the following system on active display:

Source: iMac and Simaudio Neo 260 Transport
BC107 Pre
BC1022 amplifier
BC60X1 Hybrid PLC

On static display and for sale:

Many types of PLC Thingees (sp?)
X0e plug in modules
FLT phonostages
Hat Peed Thingee
Yalu Balula
BC30X1 (available in SS or black faceplates)

New product unveiling: BC36 multi channel amplifier.

***All Blue Circle products will be available with show discounts***

Gilbert will be demonstrating power filtration and DC offset reducing products in the room.

We plan on having 3 sets of speakers from different $ ranges set up to give the attendees an idea of the synergies between BC gear and different types of speakers.

Susan and I look forward to seeing everyone again this year!

Looking forward to seeing you and Susan again.

Looks like some really interesting new gear to listen to. Gilbert did some major upgrades to my BC32 a few month back, which totally transformed it. Curious as to how the new BC36 sounds.

Ed :D

Thanks Ice Man,

Great BC coverage for sure. I see Mystic had a Simaudio 260D transport paired with the BC 505 DAC. That is a magic combo, as I have a 260D paired with my BC501ob-LOC and that setup is really good - not much of leap between analog and digital in my rig!! :D :D :D

I suppose I will be deemed as biased as all hell here, but I do believe that Rene, and team had one of the best SOUNDING rooms at the show.

The sound was well balanced, top to bottom, and for those who don't realize just how difficult it can be to get decent sound at a show, it can be more of a headache than you can possibly imagine!

Perhaps it's just the cynic in me, or maybe I've just been to too many shows to be really impressed anymore ?? but I thought this years TAVES was rather umm.. flat.. granted, I rolled through on the Friday night, and it was pretty quiet, but I got the feeling there was far LESS to see in the rooms.
There were a number of manufacturers that were obvious by there absence in my mind.

Oh well. Maybe I'll head to the MTL show next spring, it's usually a really fun event. :P
