Eden is another jazz performer with an intersting background.
Her father, Hub Atwood, was a writer and arranger for the likes of Frank Sinatra, Harry James, Stan Kenton and Nat King Cole. Her mother, is the daughter of Pulitzer Prize winning author, A.B. Guthrie, Jr.
I have two of her releases. First is the 'Bossa Nova Session', a collection of Brazilian standards by Jobim et.al. Although not in the same league as Eliane Elias, she still manages to be original and entertaining. Much better than Krall's 'Quiet nights".
The second is " The Ballad Session". As the title suggests, it's a compilation of soft jazz material. She is actually more in her element here. All you need is a chilled bottle of Krüg and snug-up to your main squeeze.
