Like Escala, Bond is classical cross-over all female electric string quartet and they preceed Escala by about eight years making them the originals of the genre.
I have a love/hate relationship with Bond however. When they stick solely to their instruments, they are fabulous. But when they venture into the Disco Club Beats, all their skills are out the windows, buried under the percussion machines.
They remind me somewhat of "James Last's Up-to-date Classics" that were available on vinyl in the late 70's. An upbeat version of the Classics that was more of a musical experiment to attract the younger crowds.
This CD/DVD is a compilation of their works dating back to Y2K and is more disco than classical. I find it very dissapointing both on the production side and sound quality. The DVD side is not bad. Great eye candy.
They have lots of videos out and they are fun to watch. Just be mindfull of your tongue and where you step.
