Hi,
I’ve kept my digital transport on a separate power filter for some time (and noted improvement in my system’s sound), and now I’m wondering if the BC 510ob should be run through the transport’s filter system instead of the system used for analog equipment. But before I begin rearranging power cords in the back of my rack, I thought I’d ask those of you with DACs and power line filters (such as the BC 6020), do you run your DACs through the same filter system as your preamps and amps or do you keep all the digital equipment (transports and DACs) separate from the analog stuff?
Thanks, rac

To answer your question, all my 'digital' system is plugged-in into my BC6000BLS.

My analog system is in another room plugged into a BC Power Line Pillow.

Thanks, BK.
Have you ever run your digital front end (transport and DAC) into a different power source than your amplification components?
I'm wondering if DACs dump enough digital "hash" into our systems to be noticeable and to warrant an additional power filter for them (and the transports)?

The short answer is 'no'.

But when I asked Gilbert to upgrade my BC6000,

the difference was remarkable. And I truly believe that it had to do with eliminating the 'digital hash' for good.

I suppose I could piggy back another unit..... Shocked

Now that's interesting...
I decided to brave the wires, interconnects, and power cords last night and perhaps confirmed a similar observation: with my BC 6020+20 there was almost dead silence from the speakers with the DAC plugged in. When I used another brand of power conditioning for the BC 501ob DAC, the background hiss grew louder. So a souped up 6000 is definitely the way to go with other BC products (synergy!), and I won't be mucking with that combination any time soon. Thanks, rac
