We are still thinking how much we should sell it for. It will be around $18K to $25K. |

No wonder you've been quiet! How many man-hours did that take to built? _________________ Mike |

| I started in late January, spent about 3 to 4 nights a week, 4 to 5 hours a night and about 3 weeks. That make it about 55 hours. This doesn`t include the time we solder the components onto the boards. Each board take about 40 mins, and there are 64 boards per amp. Which make about 43 hours worth of work. It`s a 100+ man hour work there. |

Okay...So let's figure out the cost:
100 hours at minimum wage ( $10.25) in Ontario: $1025
Scrap lumber for face plate: $2.00
One mecano set: $50.00
One metal cookie box: $5.00 including cookies.
Shipping & handling: $20,000.
Yep, that's about right...

Awesome ... looking forward to some reviews/comments!
You say you can push this up to 500w - I'd like to see how many boxes that would take . |

Not only 500w but into a 0.5 ohm load!!!! That amplifier should be able to tackle just about every speakers on the market.
The only downside, is that Gil But will get banned from another audio show for telling the musical truth with his innovative design. ( I don't think he cares...) _________________ Mike |
