Dave Iaria's Blue Circle Gear

Post by masluck » Thu Jan 03, 2013 3:32 pm

It is with great sadness that I have to inform the BC Forum that our friend and fellow Blue Circle Audio fan Dave Iaria passed away from cancer this last fall. Dave's estate executor reached out to me to help with inventorying, documenting, valuation and helping to sell his BC gear because I am local and could help him due to my long time BC affiliation.

I was in contact with Gilbert regarding informing the BC Forum of his passing. Gilbert has agreed to allow me to inform the BC community that I have received authority from his estate to list (and continue to list) Dave's equipment. Gilbert has agreed to this because Dave was a Blue Circle dealer and that this type of selling notification is not normally allowed this on the forum.

Dave possessed two incredible systems, and I am asking that if anyone is interested in purchasing some of the gear, to please let me know. Dave's wishes were to distribute whatever we can sell to his nieces, so we are trying our best to keep to the spirit of that commitment during this process.

I have listed his gear (the larger items so far) on US Audio Mart under the moniker "masluck". Please check the site often as there are many cables and odds in ends that I will be adding in the coming days. If you have a question about any of the pieces, please send me a PM. Gilbert has also agreed to answer any questions, as Dave's amp (SB380S) and DAC (501ob) are truly custom designs that only he could speak to.

Dave was a great guy with a sharp wit who loved this hobby. He will be truly missed.

Mark, very sad to hear of the passing of Dave.

You are a great guy to look after the estate concerning the BC gear!

And kudos to Gilbert for supporting you in your efforts.

You two are first class!

Sad news indeed... Hope that the community can find a home for the gear.
I took a look at the listings, unfortunately I can't help out ..

Saddened my this news. Going to dust off some Dead this weekend and have a few imperial stouts in Dave's honor and many hours we spent doing the same at a few AK fests.
