With all due respect to Misters Blue Knight, HBE and Double D,
Is there any other music that folks on this forum really like other than female vocalists, standards singers, etc.? I am in no way dissing these artists, but I use this forum to try new music and I (personally) can listen only to so much of that stuff...
So BC members - open up and share thy wealth!!!
All the best,
Mark |

Okay Mark, don't be shy...
But I agree, it would be nice to see more member inputs. And in all fairness, there has been some other genre showcased.
I don't know about my other two compadres but personally, I'm a pervert. I only buy their CDs based on their sex appeal. _________________ Mike |

Okay Mike,
I wont be shy...
My latest scores in CD and Vinyl..
CD:
Peter Gabriel - New Blood (great music revisited with full orchestra - standard Gabriel excellence in the recording/mastering process)
Death Cab for Cutie - Codes and Keys (nice groove, decent recording - I like this band)
Amos Lee - Amos Lee (great voice, good arrangements and well recorded)
Amos Lee - Last Days at the Lodge (another great recording by Amos Lee)
Paul Simon - So Beautiful or So What - (great album, good to see him back to form, great recording)
Ahmad Jamal - A Quiet Time (great jazz pianist - if you have never heard him, you owe it to yourself - I have 15 albums in vinyl and CD of his)
Ray Lamontagne - Till the Sun Turns Black (really like this album - chill music, somewhat dark themes, but still well recorded)
Vinyl:
Dead Can Dance - Into the Labyrinth (Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab - really cool and different textures and styles - phenomenal recording and sound stage)
Dead Can Dance - Spirit Chaser (another Mobile Fidelity LP - if you buy one LP for yourself at Christmas, get one of these DCD LP's!!!)
Thomas Dolby - The Flat Earth (Thomas Dolby is one of my favorites - found it on vinyl and grabbed it!!)
For the Female Vocal Lovers (Vinyl):
Michel Shocked - Short Sharp Shocked (something about her style and arrangements that I like allot)
Michel Shocked - Captain Swing (bought it because I like the one above - my favorite of the two that I have)
How's that, Mike?

I echo BlueKnight's and Masluck's sentiments. So,here is a challenge starting at the top of the Blue Circle with Gil But and Al But (and kindly keep your "butts" out of it) and making its way round to "The Dealers".Submit your Top 10 (or fewer) songs and maybe more people will chime in.
C'mon and don't be shy...it's not like you actually have to sing them! |

Amos Lee is the real deal. But time to revisit Goodbye Yellow Brick Road,
try it again for the first time. |
