Ketevan 'Katie' Melua, has to be by far, my favorite discovery of the year. I can't remember who recommmended her but I am deeply grateful. I ended-up buying all of her available discography.
Yes I know...Another skinny chick with a guitar and an adrenaline junkie to boot. I wouldn't mind sharing my parachute with her.
Can't wait for her new release in March 2012.
Extremely recommended...!

After that Minnie Driver recommendation I was about to send the Music EMS team to perform harmonic CPR.

Hmmm... Katie Melua's pretty good.. have one of her discs somewhere..
Not so sure about the Elmer Fudd thing  I'm still a little confused after the "Anthony Braxton" debacle... 
I'll stick with this.. 2 talents near the top of their game..

The much anticipated new release has landed. I am always suspicious of artists collaborating with symphonic groups. But in this case, Melua is right there, out front, with the orchestra providing just a hint of atmosphere and ambiance.
