The last time I bought from and listened to this trio was in 1990 and 1992 respectively. They didn't do much for me.
When I saw their brand new release of covers from their iconic parents, I figure that for $9.95, I would give it a go now with the ladies in their early forties.
The CD is really bright. The ladies still sings like fourteen year old banshees.
The mastering is sub par and the arrangements are uninspiring even annoying. It's too bad because there was potential.
You are much better off listening to the originals from the Mamas and the Papas and the Beach Boys. Even old 45 RPMs.
This is a CD that you keep in your car on the way to the Dairy Bar with kids screaming in the back seat.

| Somehow.. not surprised... Even when they made a first go around, I was not all that impressed. Harmonies were reasonably tight.. but mehhh.. that was it. |
