The FC Quiet power Cord is not a powerline conditioner in the usual sense. It is a special purpose device to reduce or eliminate
that annoying transformer growl that some amplifiers exhibit from time to time. The video link above demonstrates both the noise
and effectiveness of the FC Quiet Power Cord.
There are 2 versions available, Heavy Duty and Medium Duty. They are equally effective at dealing with transformer hum and differ
only in that they are configured for specific types of amplifiers.
Designed for solid state class AB amplifiers up to 200 watts/channel. Can also be used for hybrid amplifiers comparable to the BC204
and class AB tube amps up to 50 watts/channel without overheating issues.
There are two versions, as illustrated below. One has an integrated BC62 6ft. power cord and the other has an IEC inlet for a user
supplied power cord. Both have a BC62 12” pigtail with an IEC plug for the amplifier end.
Each end has a switch which controls a set of quiet devices. The user can use one or both
of the quiet devices to increase the level of quietness. Both switches can be turned off to
bypass the quiet device entirely..
The heavy duty version ( not illustrated) is for solid state amplifiers greater than 200 watts per
channel and for larger tube amplifiers. This version can be assembled into a larger pipe or metal
chassis of your choice.
