Are you experiencing true concert hall dynamics in your listening room? When you listen to intimate music are you feeling the subtle nuances and emotion that the musicians have imparted to the performance? I'd like to thank you and the folks at Blue Circle for making the best amp I've heard: the BC8. Since the BC8 ousted my last amp -- an excellent pair of (more expensive) 300b monoblocks -- I haven't even been seriously tempted to look into other amps. This is, to me, a major feat given my propensity to "tweak." (Not that I'd turn you down if you offered me an AG8000 in a straight trade, of course.)

..........Very pleasing sound with SET tubes, but once I tried  the BC8s I realized how much low level detail was obscured by tube amplification and how much better the transient performance of the drivers became, really injecting missing life into the music. The treble lost some of the SET magic (on cymbal shimmer, etc) but the tweeters actually sounded overall much better at higher listening volumes. They became "shouty" with SET, I think from higher distortion or soft clipping. Soundstaging (supposedly a strong suit of SET) was actually better with the BC8s as well, and we're talking about an Art Audio Jota (one of the most highly reviewed 300B amps in production).
